4 Train Holidays to Explore the Tracks in Every Season
Like many others, we are making a conscious effort to reduce our carbon footprint, especially when it comes to travelling.
We have been sharing tips and advice on green travel in our ECO series and this Preparture Thursday we are going to continue, with inspiration from Greta Thunberg.
Who is Greta Thunberg?
Greta Thunberg is an incredibly eloquent and award-winning young woman, from Sweden, who campaigns for immediate action in the global battle against the climate crisis. She is perhaps most famous for initiating the ‘school strike for climate movement’, which has grown to a global level, as millions of students around the world stop attending classes in order to protest against global warming and climate change.
Most recently, Greta travelled across Europe to increase awareness of the climate crisis, by speaking to the European Parliament, with the Pope at the Vatican, at rally’s, protests and the British Parliament. Over 11 days, she left her home of Sweden to visit France, Italy and the UK. She travelled entirely by train, showing that greener travel alternatives are conveniently available.
Thanks to Greta’s example, we wanted to share some excellent holidays you can take by train.
Summer Train Holiday
A Taste of Ireland – Belmond Grand Hibernian
