4 popular post-pandemic vacation destinations in the USA

For the past few weeks, we’ve been thinking once more about life post Covid-19. What started with news on European lockdown rules easing, turned into how to travel safely in a post Covid-19 world, with blog posts on the future of travel as well as how to keep yourself safe when flying in the near future. Today we’re looking at some of the best vacations on home turf that are still being searched for during the pandemic.

In a recent survey, we discovered that many Americans are raring to go on a trip. In fact, almost 22% of Americans are ready to head out into the wide world again in less than two weeks, with a further 35% choosing July or August to head out – so lets find out which destinations are still sought after in the USA right now.

Whilst it looks like large cities are on the back burner for a while still, with the obvious dangers of overcrowding still being a no-no for most conscious travelers, smaller cities and snug towns are very much a go ahead for those hoping to indulge in a little bit of sightseeing. Even better though are those sprawling areas of picture perfect nature and rugged landscape, where the chances of bumping into someone else become smaller by the second, and of course those yellow sandy beaches that are perfect for sticking to social distancing rules whilst getting a healthy dose of nature’s own medicine in the form of that all important Vitamin D and salty sea air.

So where are the best places to take your first post-pandemic trip? Let’s find out the nation’s most searched spots.

With vacation rentals primed and ready to go for the 2020 high season, as well as campsites where you can rough it out in nature depending on your mood, you can keep to yourself whilst enjoying the picturesque landscape around you. Those with a taste for adrenaline can get to grips with sea diving and surfing, whilst those who love outdoors but want to take the more placid route can search for dolphins among the waves, or head to the golf course to take their shot.
